Kennedy’s Kitchen is a South Bend, Indiana based band who has been playing together for more than a decade. They perform traditional Irish music under the umbrella of the Celtic genre.

John Kennedy is the founding member (and namesake) of Kennedy’s Kitchen. The band emerged out of music sessions John was hosting in South Bend, while teaching at the University of Notre Dame.

The band is comprised of John (who plays guitar and sings), Rob Weber (on base and vocals), Chris O’Brien, the band’s only female member (tenor banjo, fiddle, mandolin and vocals), and John’s nephews, Nolan and Liam Ladewski (tin whistle, flute, and vocals). The last (and newest) band member is Jacob Turner, who plays the traditional bodrhán.

Kennedy’s Kitchen plays regularly at Fiddler’s Hearth in South Bend and have performed at such Irish Fests in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Kennedy’s Kitchen performs at Irish Fest on Sunday, July 13 at 7pm on the Fifth Province Stage.
